The higher-quality PVB used in automotive laminated glass can be recovered and holds significant recycling value when replaced in the scrap car disassembly and maintenance market. How to work:
firstly, The glass and PVB layer can be separated initially by roller press.
The roller press mainly applies pressure to the windshield of an old car through a pair of rollers rotating opposite each other. When the laminated glass passes through the gap between the rolls, due to the extrusion of the rolls, the glass and the PVB (polyvinyl butyral) adhesive layer in the middle will be deformed to a certain extent. For some parts that are not particularly tightly bonded, this extrusion can initially separate the glass and adhesive layer.
Primary treatment function: It is the front end of the entire recycling process and is able to perform the initial physical processing of the used windscreen. For example, it can break a larger size windshield and turn it into smaller glass fragments that are easier to handle later, reducing the volume of glass fragments and facilitating subsequent transportation and further processing. ◦ Partial separation: For the glass and PVB adhesive layer in the laminated glass, the roller press can loosen the bond between the two, and achieve the separation of the glass and adhesive layer to a certain extent, improving the separation efficiency.
2.On the basis of the preliminary treatment of the roller press, the separator can more accurately separate the glass and PVB adhesive layer completely, and obtain a more pure glass and adhesive layer product.
For example, after the separator treatment, the glass can reach a high purity and can be directly used in the production of glass recycled products; The PVB adhesive layer can also be recycled for other applications, such as making new adhesive materials. ◦ Improved recycling quality: Through fine separation, the quality and value of recycled materials can be improved. For example, high-quality recycled glass can be used to manufacture high-quality glass products, such as architectural glass, automotive glass, etc. The pure PVB adhesive layer can be reprocessed into a standard adhesive material, reducing production costs.
